picture (1) tribal children in the riverbed. They are fearful of cameras (they think they are guns) Picture (2)tigers at the mission station. . . wild animals are a great fear for the hill tribes. They keep wild dogs in their villages to protect, and alert the villagers from tigers and bears. Picture (3) missionary John Kumar on tribal bridge. Please pray for John Kumar's continued work with the tribal people , especially in Pabanasam in Tirunelveli. Also for the church which he planted in Kanniyakumari, which has now been handed over to the Kanniyakumari diocese, and is currently thriving. Please pray for the funding to develop the tribal ministry ,that more of the people in the south of India will come to know the love of Jesus, and more churches will be planted.
2011- Ooty trip, visiting the hill tribes, the Thodas. 2013 - return visit to the area of the Kani tribe in the mountains beyond Pabanassam , pic John on the tribal bridge, sept 2013. Please pray for John's continued work with the Kani tribes, and financial provision to do so. In recent times, some members of the tribes have been seen begging in villages in the mountains as their lifestyle has become unsustainable in the last few years. These primitive people have a rich heritage and John feels called by God to maintain his links with them and continue showing them the love of Jesus.
